Music and Storytelling in Early Childhood Education Centres

So much happens in an Early Childhood environment and music in all its forms is a wonderful teaching tool. Music and movement enhances dramatic play; social and emotional regulation; executive functioning skills including inhibitory control.

Drawing on a strong Early Childhood philosophy, Jack and Molly create educational adventures that weave together music, costumes, storytelling, sign language and hands-on participation. Their interactive shows encourage children to inquire, experiment, problem solve, and express themselves through joyful play. Their performances are intentionally designed to align with Early Years Learning Framework and foster curiosity, belonging and meaningful connection.

New songs or how to extend songs you already know.
Awareness of the different learning styles and age appropriate resources.
Don’t have many resources or a large budget? – Creative solutions explored.

Presenters

Christine, Bachelor in ECEC and has taught at her local preschool since 2007. With a deep passion for early childhood education, she brings warmth, creativity, and boundless energy to her role as the new Molly.

Felix is an accomplished professional musician who plays guitar, fiddle, and keyboards. As a composer, some of his music was featured in the acclaimed film Australia directed by Baz Luhrmann.

Together, Christine and Felix are excited to continue the Jack and Molly tradition, creating joyful, engaging experiences for children and families alike.

Both Christine and Felix hold current VIT registration. Completed mandatory reporting, and Goodstart Safeguarding Children Training course completed 2026.
